01 About · 연구실 정보

SIR Lab is a research group at Kookmin University investigating movement after lower-limb injury and its impact on long-term joint health.

The Sport Injury and Rehabilitation (SIR) Lab at Kookmin University focuses on precisely characterizing how movement changes after lower-limb injury and how those changes influence long-term joint cartilage health. Through biomechanical analysis and neuromuscular function assessment, we quantify the abnormal movement patterns and joint-loading characteristics that emerge following injury.

국민대학교 Sport Injury and Rehabilitation (SIR) Lab은 하지 부상 이후 나타나는 움직임의 변화를 정밀하게 관찰하고, 이러한 변화가 관절 연골 건강에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 중점을 둔 연구실입니다. 생체역학적 분석과 신경근 기능 평가를 통해 부상 이후 형성되는 비정상적 움직임 패턴과 관절 부하 특성을 정량화합니다. 나아가 SIR Lab은 중재 연구를 통해 왜곡된 움직임을 회복하고, 관절에 가해지는 부하를 최적화함으로써 기능 회복과 장기적인 관절 건강을 동시에 개선하는 것을 목표로 합니다.

Building on this, SIR Lab aims to restore altered movement and optimize the loads placed on the joint through intervention research, improving functional recovery and long-term joint health together. Centering on lower-limb injuries and degenerative conditions such as ACL reconstruction (ACLR) and chronic ankle instability (CAI), we conduct translational research that connects findings to real-world rehabilitation.
